The final word in the Apostles’ Creed is the word amen. This little word is an expression of the Christian’s confidence in all that the creed proclaims. It challenges us to accept the testimony of the apostles recorded for us in the pages of Scripture. It urges us to recall that in Jesus all the promises that God makes in the Scripture find their fulfillment. And it exhorts us to express our confidence in God through the worship of Jesus.
