According to Proverbs, a wise person possesses the virtue of prudence, the ability to make good decisions for the future and to see those decisions through to completion. The Proverbs also show us three ways in which we can cultivate prudence in our lives. But the key to prudence is found in who we trust, because in spite of all of our well-intentioned plans, we must learn to submit totally to the providence of a sovereign God.
